Let's celebrate your day! The guest rooms provide the perfect setting for your anniversary. It's not every day that you turn 50, 60, 70 or 80. But when the occasion arises, it's fun to gather family and friends for a party and celebration!

It's not every year that an anniversary is celebrated.

At Gjestestuene you have a highly trained team to advise you through the planning. You are just as welcome to celebrate with a small ladies' party as you are to a big dinner with a dance band and partying into the small hours. In any case, it is nice to celebrate that you have finally become an adult!

Many people hesitate to organize an anniversary party at home. Maybe the house or apartment is too small. Maybe you don't have the energy in a busy everyday life. Then leave the entire celebration to Gjestestuene. We are located on Bygdøy in Oslo, just four kilometers from the city center and with easy access by car, bus and taxi.

We take care of everything from the set-up, cleaning, setting the table and serving, while you can concentrate on your guests and celebrating your special day. Food and drinks are provided by our kitchen, TG Selskapsmat. We often arrange 60th and 70th birthdays in the Festsalen at Gjestestuene, with anything from around 30 to over 100 guests.

At Gjestestuene, round numbers are often celebrated. We arrange both men's and ladies' evenings, and other types of celebrations that creative guests desire.

We can also arrange a pleasant experience for your guests – such as a guided tour of the Open Air Museum or a dance performance with the museum's talented dance group. You can see more about these offers under Extra offers.

We had a fantastic double birthday celebration at the "Guest Rooms at the Norwegian Folk Museum". Oddbjørn and his team did a brilliant job - from the planning, through the entire party and until the next day with leftovers and more. Everyone was happy, enjoyed the celebration and the incredibly delicious food. 😋 Thank you so much for your fantastic effort! We would also like to thank Anne, who handled the initial contact, the rental agreement and the museum arrangements! See you again 😀

We rented the Guest Houses for my birthday party, and it was a success. The service from both the Guest Houses, who handle the rental of the premises, and from TG, who are responsible for the food and setting the tables, was excellent. We had the rooms on the second floor, namely the Festsalen and the associated Blue Fireplace Lounge. The tables were beautifully set, with beautiful oval tables for up to ten people per table. So much better than the huge, round tables you often find in hotels and restaurants, where you have to shout to talk to people on the other side. The food was also fantastic – we had the barbecue buffet, very tasty and plentiful. Very professional and smooth service.
