During the summer, Gartneriet Spiseri offers a lush, green escape within our greenhouse—a unique setting for everything from weddings to corporate summer parties, surrounded by farm idyll. As the seasons change and the temperature drops, we move into Fyrhuset (The Lighthouse), a warm and cozy space perfect for intimate gatherings throughout autumn and winter.

From our soil to your plate

Our chefs craft seasonal menus using organic ingredients grown right here at Bygdø Kongsgård. We supplement our own harvest with organic meat and cheeses from the farm, ensuring every meal is rooted in sustainability and local tradition.

Hi Andreas and Benjamin,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you both. The food, the people, the service, and the venue all delivered at a level far higher than we could have ever dreamed of, and for that we are both grateful and impressed.

Weddings with many people are often difficult, and often affect both the quality of delivery and time, but you excelled in every way. We were a food-loving bunch on Saturday, we have received a lot of good feedback, and that means a lot to us.

We understand that we did things differently than other guests have done in the past (and maybe even called a little more often), but we received feedback from your colleagues that they were impressed with what we had done with the place and the atmosphere we set in motion, and it was nice for us to hear.

Wash and rig
We are responsible for all cleaning and rigging before and after the party.
Place setting and flowers
We are responsible for all the setting with the necessary crockery, candles, tablecloths and napkins etc. Please note that flowers are not included in the rental price and come as an optional extra. You can bring your own flowers ready-made in vases, or use flower suppliers.
Technical equipment
We provide professional audio and visual solutions to ensure your event has the perfect atmosphere, whether you are hosting a presentation, making a speech, or playing music.

Sound System in "Drivhuset" (The Greenhouse)
The Greenhouse is divided into two zones to ensure clear, balanced sound throughout your entire event.

Zone 1: Main Room (The largest area)

This is the heart of our audio setup, ideal for toasts, speeches, and background music.

Zone 2: "Tomatrommet" (The outer area)

Sound in "Fyrhuset" (The Indoor Restaurant)

For events held inside the restaurant, we use a powerful, portable solution:

JBL PartyBox Club 120: A user-friendly speaker with great punch and seamless connectivity.

Projector and Screenings
We have an Epson LCD Projector (Model: H477B) available for guest use. It comes complete with power and HDMI cables.

Important Note for the Greenhouse: Because the Greenhouse consists of glass walls and ceilings, the space is filled with natural daylight that cannot be dimmed. Please be aware that using a projector in this room can be challenging until after sunset.
Outdoor areas
Use of our furnished courtyard around the greenhouse is included in all rental prices.
Parking
We have free parking for about 10 cars in our own parking lot. The spaces are shared with any simultaneous events at the Guest Rooms.

Find a way

Bus: 30 Bygdøy from Oslo city center. The garden is located between the stops Kongsgården and Folkemuseet. (Check the routes at ruter.no)
Ferry: From Rådhuset to Dronningen. From there 15 min. walk. Departure every 20 minutes. The ferry runs from March 22 to October 6, 2024.
Car/bike/foot: From E18 or Bygdøy Allé, turn off for Bygdøy.
Parking: Limited parking space right outside the entrance to the Garden Centre and municipal parking outside the main entrance to the Norwegian Folk Museum. Fee every day 08:00 - 20:00.
